I began crocheting about three years ago and have been crazy in love ever since. I am completely obsessed with yarn, dream about having a dedicated craft room and can be found with hook and skein just about any time I have quiet time to myself, especially this time of year when it’s too cold to do much else. Trust me, crocheting is no longer about your granny’s granny square. Over the last few years it has made a real resurgence in popularity, as people seek respite from our crazy lives and long to simply create. Some call it “the new yoga.” For me, crochet is a form of meditation.
I taught myself to crochet by viewing some great YouTube-based instructors. So, if you’ve ever thought about taking up crocheting, buy a skein of fun, basic yarn, a small hook set and check out these great teachers.
